Watching Larry Kudlow Makes You Stupid

And me.

Larry Kudlow is one of the biggest jokes out there. People don't compete for the sake of competition, they compete to win the game. Why would nations be any different? Bitching about China manipulating Rare Earth Elements for a competitive advantage is flat out whiny crybaby guano. Your competitor doesn't need to be fair, hell he shouldn't be, who wants a fair fight? Your competitor is out to kick your ass and take your lolly pop. The end.

Wikileaks: serious damage

While we may disagree to what degree Assange is a douche, we can all agree that he is at least that. More importantly however, if you read the state dept. documents release he has created a massive storm in Latin America, Africa, and South Asia.

Our evaluation of Kim Jong Il, is so accurate as to unsettle all leaders in the area. South Korea has been trying to sell China on allowing the dissolution of North Korea and a reunited Korean peninsula. The incentive? Think of China having both Japan and Korea to trade with, its like having two Canadas. The wikileaks effect? Now the North is very paranoid, the full gravity of the situation has muffled them.

And in Africa well Wikileaks just screwed Zimbabwe in a nation of former colonial subjects, for Mugabe's main opposition leader to be seen negotiating with western powers to force Mugabe out may have given Mugabe grounds to charge Tsvangirai with treason. Justifiably, after all if Sara Palin was caught telling the Chinese they should keep devaluing their currency to force the US to vote for her in 2012 that would be one hell of a story.

Trainwrecks at different stages

Japan has been a vastly under scrutinized event. Their economic issues mirror ours perhaps too accurately. As always Megan Mcardle does a good job in going after the kind of minutiae I love. Megan Mcardle analyzing the Japanese budget show

Nanny stateish sure, but environmentally sound idea. As well as economically sound (the NW still is big into timber).

Finally Congress does some work

For those of you who wonder just when I am satisfied that people are working hard, see Congress this last week. You shouldn't be able to have a 30 year career in politics, it should kill you if you try to maintain that pace for so long.

North Vs. South and it's not the civil war

For those of you unaware right now, at this very moment South Korea has begun military exercises. These exercises involve the use of live ammunition being fired into disputed territory with North Korea. Should North Korea make good on a previous threat, as an ally of South Korea we will be treaty bound to aid in the response. Possibly drawing us into conflict with China.

Iran is gonna be in a whole lot of pain

In case you're wondering what happens to a country suffering under stupidity: two cases.

1.) Iran

2.) North Korea (not our ally Palin listeners)
